The community is invited to explore this visual feast from Saturday, April 13, through Saturday, April 20, 2024, at the Chester County Art Association in West Chester.

The exhibition will spotlight the incredible work of young artists from across the county, showcasing a wide array of styles and mediums. Attendees can expect a journey through the imaginative and expressive worlds created by these talented students. The event’s highlight promises to be an enchanting public reception and awards ceremony on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, starting at 5:00 p.m., where artists, families, and art enthusiasts will gather to celebrate the students’ achievements.

Adding to the excitement, select pieces will compete in Congresswoman Chrissy Houlahan’s Congressional Art Competition, open to students residing in the 6th District of Pennsylvania. This competition is part of a national initiative by the U.S. House of Representatives to encourage and recognize the artistic talents of young Americans. Kathy Gurnee, the special events coordinator for the Chester County Intermediate Unit, expressed admiration for the participants: “Year after year, the talent displayed in the Chester County High School Art Exhibition is just overwhelming. From the paintings and drawings to the 3D pieces, amazing creativity and emotion truly shine through from these accomplished students.”

The event owes much of its success to the dedication and support of high school art teachers throughout the county, whose commitment to fostering creativity and skill in their students has made this exhibition possible.
