Joe Cowen – Joe is an exceptional weightlifting coach who is dedicated to helping his clients reach their goals and create a welcoming community. He has created his own weightlifting gym and offers personalized programming and coaching to his clients. Joe is also compassionate and inclusive, making sure that everyone feels comfortable and safe in his gym, including those with neurodivergent disabilities. He has helped many lifters achieve their goals and has even inspired some to become coaches themselves.

Matt Vine – Matt is an incredibly dedicated and skilled coach who has had a significant impact on the lives of many young athletes. His commitment to teaching and developing the next generation of weightlifters is truly inspiring, and it is clear that he is highly respected and appreciated by those who have worked with him and that he goes above and beyond to create a positive and supportive environment for young athletes to thrive in.

Mehmed Fikretov – Mehmed has made a significant impact on the British Weight Lifting community through his coaching. His dedication and passion for the sport are evident, as he strives to help all athletes, regardless of their level of experience, to improve and achieve their goals. The positive community that he has built around him is also commendable, as it provides a supportive and non-judgmental space for people to pursue their passion for Olympic weightlifting. His ability to tailor his coaching approach to the individual needs of each athlete and his attention to detail are also noteworthy.

Nia Roberts – Nia has a genuine passion for helping young people achieve their goals and improve their physical and mental health through weightlifting. She has managed to grow her club to over 50 members and produce multiple Welsh and British medalists. Her dedication to creating an inclusive and supportive environment for all ages is commendable, as is her initiative to set up a charity to provide weightlifting shoes to those who can’t afford them. Nia is not only a skilled coach but also a caring and compassionate person who has made a positive impact on the lives of many young people.

Zoe Chandler – Zoe is an outstanding role model, coach, and community leader. Her dedication to promoting a healthy and balanced lifestyle among children and adults is inspiring, and her commitment to creating a positive and safe learning environment for all her students is commendable. It’s clear that Zoe goes above and beyond for the children and adults in her club, working hard to ensure that they have a safe space to lift and talk about any problems they may be facing. Her inclusivity and understanding of children with disabilities is also noteworthy, and she makes an effort to make them feel included. It’s clear that she has a positive impact on everyone she coaches and interacts with.
